Yamask Pokédex Information
Yamask is a Ghost type Pokémon that first appeared in the games Pokémon Black and White which were released in Japan in September 2010. It evolves to Cofagrigus.
Yamask is said to be an early human that has become a Pokémon. It is based on a spirit and a mask. It is predominantly black and is comprised of a head, two arms and a long hook projection. Its arms radiate out from its lower face and each has three fingers. Its black head resembles the profile of a parrot and has a red eye on each side. A single black hook-like appendage holds a gold coloured mask. It wanders through ruins by night, carrying a mask that’s said to have been the face it had when it was still human.
When found in the Galar region it takes on a different form. In this form its eyes are purple in colour and it has a hexagonal piece of hardened clay with red markings attached to its hook-like appendage. It is said that a clay slab with cursed engravings took possession of a Yamask. The slab is said to be absorbing the Yamask’s dark power.
