Wooper Pokédex Information
Wooper is a Water / Ground type Pokémon that first appeared in the games Pokémon Gold and Silver which were released in Japan in November 1999. It evolves to Quagsire.
Wooper is a two-legged, amphibian character that is based on an axolotl salamander. It is completely blue apart from three horizontal markings on its body. It has a very large head from which pink branch-like structures protrude on either side. It does not have arms but has a long flat tail. This Pokémon lives in cold water. It will leave the water to search for food when it gets cold outside.
When found in the Paldea region it takes on a different form. Paldean Wooper is a Poison / Ground type Pokémon and only lives on land. After losing a territorial struggle, Wooper began living on land. The Pokémon changed over time, developing a poisonous film to protect its body. In this form it is brown in colour with black markings on its body and the structures protruding from its head now resemble bones.
