Special Delivery Pokémon Cards are rare promotional cards from the Pokémon Trading Card Game. To date there have been three of these cards released.
These special delivery Pokémon cards are very popular, highly collectable and certain to increase in value.
What Characters have Special Delivery Cards?
Pikachu
Pikachu was the first character to have a Special Delivery Pokémon card. SWSH074 Pikachu Special Delivery, was released in the Autumn of 2020 to celebrate the opening of the Pokémon Center in Canada.
The card was offered as a free gift when $20 was spent on Trading Card Game products at the Canadian Pokémon Center during a limited period.
The card depicts Pikachu wearing a special Pokémon delivery cap with a mail delivery bag across its body. The background is based on a radar screen and indicates the speed at which Special Delivery Pikachu can deliver the packages in its bag.
This card currently fetches £150-£200 on Ebay UK and $140-$200 on Ebay.com.
Bidoof
The Bidoof Special Delivery Pokémon card, SWSH177 was released on 19th August 2021 to celebrate Bidoof Day.
The impending release was announced in July 2021 through the newsletter sent to subscribers of the US and Canadian Pokémon Centers. Those interested had ten days to register for a unique code.
The codes were sent out in August and could be used to obtain the Special Delivery Bidoof card as a free gift when $20 was spent on Trading Card Game products at the US or Canadian Pokémon Center.
The card depicts Bidoof wearing a special Pokémon delivery cap strapped to Charizard’s body. Mail delivery bags are carried by Charizard. The background depicts patterns of magenta / purple and white.
This card can currently be purchased on Ebay UK for £200 – £300 and on Ebay.com for $240 – $400.
Charizard
The Charizard Special Delivery Pokémon card, SWSH075 was revealed in November 2020 and eagerly anticipated. However it was not released until August 2022.
To celebrate the 2022 opening of the UK Pokémon Centre, it was announced that those interested in obtaining a card could register for a unique code on a special registration website. This was open to residents of the UK, US and Canada.
The registration site opened on 11th July and all available codes were taken within 3 days. Codes were sent out in August and could be used to obtain the Charizard Special Delivery Pokémon card as a free gift when $20 was spent on Trading Card Game products at the UK, US or Canadian Pokémon Center.
The card depicts Charizard carrying Pikachu, wearing a special Pokémon delivery cap, on its back. Two mail delivery bags are strapped to Charizard’s body. The background is identical to that of the Bidoof Special Delivery card except that it is blue and white.
Special Delivery Charizard can currently be purchased on Ebay UK for £60 – £80 and on Ebay.com for $45 – $60.
