What is Upper Energy?
Upper Energy is a Special Energy that was used in the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). It has only been released once – in the Platinum Rising Rivals set of 2009.

The Upper Energy card provides one Colorless Energy. If the player has more prize cards than their opponent then Upper Energy provides two Colorless Energy. The card design features three Colorless Energy symbols.
In the Pokémon TCG, a player can only use an Attack Move if the specified number of Energy are attached. This specified number generally includes one or more Energy that corresponds to the Pokémon type, and / or a number of Colorless Energy. Upper Energy Cards provide one Colorless Energy or two Colorless Energy.
Upper Energy Card Text:
The text on the card reads: ‘React Energy provides 
Energy. If you have more Prize cards left than your opponent and this card is attached to a Pokémon (excluding Pokémon LV.X), Upper Energy provides Energy.’
