Tyranitar Pokédex Information
Tyranitar is a Rock / Dark type Pokémon that first appeared in the games Pokémon Gold and Silver which first released in Japan in November 1999. It evolves from Pupitar and is the final evolution of Larvitar.
Tyranitar is a large, two-legged character that resembles a dinosaur and may be based on Tyranasaurus Rex or Godzilla. In regular form it is predominantly green but has a grey diamond-shaped area on its belly. Its body and tail are covered in spikes and its teeth and claws are very sharp. It is extremely strong and can change the landscape. It is so insolent that it doesn’t care about others.
In Mega form it is bigger and heavier. The grey diamond shape on its belly is now red and the spikes that cover its body have grown longer resembling thick bramble stems. Due to the colossal power poured into it, this Pokémon’s back split right open. Its destructive instincts are the only thing keeping it moving.
