Typhlosion Pokédex Information
Typhlosion is a Fire type Pokémon that first appeared in the games Pokémon Gold and Silver which were released in Japan in November 1999. It evolves from Quilava and is the final evolution of Cyndaquil.
Typhlosion is a tall, two-legged mammal that is thought to be based on a badger or a weasel. It has a predominantly cream-coloured body but is dark grey along its back and back of its head. Its head is relatively small in proportion to its body, featuring sharp, piercing eyes that gleam with an amber hue. It also possesses a pair of pointed ears that stand upright, serving as keen sensors to detect even the slightest sounds or movements. The most striking feature however, is the fiery orange / red ruff of fur around its neck. It attacks using blasts of fire. It creates heat shimmers with intense fire to hide itself.
When found in the Hisui region it takes on a different form. Hisuian Typhlosion is a Fire / Ghost type Pokémon that is slightly smaller and lighter than its regular form counterpart. Its body remains predominantly cream but the back of its head and back are dark purple. It also has a dark purple band around its neck that is studded with flames and the ruff at the back of its neck is purple and red. Said to purify lost, forsaken souls with its flames and guide them to the afterlife. I believe its form has been influenced by the energy of the sacred mountain towering at Hisui’s center.
