Whenever a new Pokémon expansion set is announced there is speculation about which cards will be the most sought after. This article offers an idea of what might become the top 10 Paradox Rift Chase Cards.
Paradox Rift is the fourth main expansion set of the Scarlet and Violet Series. This set introduces the Ancient and Future mechanics to the game and those cards are likely to be in high demand by players eager to try out the new abilities and moves. However, with the set being released so soon after the Scarlet & Violet 151 Special set it may prove to be less popular than preceding sets.
What are Chase Cards?
Chase cards are generally thought of as rare cards that have a 1/100 or less chance of being inside a booster pack. 8. Altaria ex – 253/182
Altaria ex takes 8th place in our list. This Special Illustration Rare card depicts Altaria flying very high in the sky, above a coastal landscape. When played, this card prevents all effects of attacks during your opponent’s next turn. It also boasts 260 HP. On the day before set release it is selling for around £53 on Ebay UK and $55 on Ebay.com.
7. Mela 254/182
Mela is a new Trainer for Generation IX and is the Boss of Team Star’s Fire crew. She is depicted sitting at the top of a flight of outdoor stairs which are likely a fire escape as puffs of smoke can be seen rising from below. Depicted in thigh high red boots over a tight leather costume she may become a Waifu. 6. Garchomp ex 245/182
Terastalized Garchomp ex features on this Special Illustration Rare card. Garchomp is a Dragon / Ground type Pokémon but becomes a Water type when terastalized. It is depicted standing in the centre of a mass of swirling green and blue which may represent the sea or grass and the sky. 5. Gholdengo ex 252/182
Gholdento ex Special Illustration Rare takes position 5 in our top 10 Paradox Rift Chase Cards list. Gholdengo is noted for being number 1000 in the Pokédex and is comprised of 1000 Gimmighoul coins. It is depicted standing in front of a vault of golden coins. The card features the ‘Make it Rain’ move which deals 50 damage for any number of basic energy cards discarded in that turn. Golisopod ex Special Illustration Rare 246/182 is our second place Pokemon Paradox Rift Chase Card. This card depicts the Bug / Water type Pokémon in what appears to be a dimly lit derelict building.
