Tauros Pokédex Information
Tauros is a Normal type Pokémon that first appeared in the games Pokémon Red and Blue which released in Japan on 12th September 1999. It does not evolve.
Tauros is a male only four-legged mammal that is based on a bull. Its fur is light brown, but it has a shaggy grey mane around its neck. Its has three thin tails each of which has a tuft of grey fur at the end. On either side of its head is a strong curved horn and a row of grey gems run along the top of its head. Once it takes aim at its prey, it makes a headlong charge. It is famous for its violent nature.
When found in Paldea, it takes on a different form. Paldean Tauros has three different variations, Combat Breed, Fire Breed and Water Breed. Combat Breed Paldean Tauros is heavier and is a Fighting type Pokémon. It has a grey body with a black mane and black fur at the end of its tails. Its horns are less curved and no longer end in a point. This Pokémon has a muscular body and excels at close-quarters combat. It uses its short horns to strike the opponent’s weak spots.
Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros is a Fighting / Fire type Pokémon. It is the same size and weight as its regular form and its fur is grey with a black mane streaked with red fire. Its horns have a wider reach and are ‘L’ shaped. The three tails are now coiled together to form a rope-like single tail. When heated by fire energy, its horns can get hotter than 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit. Those gored by them will suffer both wounds and burns.
Aqua Breed Paldean Tauros is a Fighting / Water type Pokémon. It is heavier than its regular form and its fur is grey with a black mane streaked with blue water. Its three tails end in a black tuft of fur. Its horns are thicker and stronger each with three rounded sections that end with an upwards point. This Pokémon blasts water from holes on the tips of its horns—the high-pressure jets pierce right through Tauros’s enemies.
