What are Scramble Energy Cards?
Scramble Energy Cards are Special Energy Cards that are used in the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). They were first introduced in 2005 with the launch of the EX Deoxys expansion set and last seen in the EX Dragon Frontiers set of 2006.

Scramble Energy cards provide one Colorless Energy but can only be attached to an Evolved Pokémon. If the player has more prize cards than their opponent Scramble Energy provides up to three of any Energy. There is only one design for this card and it includes the Colorless and Multi-Colour Energy symbols. (Scroll to bottom for timeline and gallery of all cards released to date).
In the Pokémon TCG, a player can only use an Attack Move if the specified number of Energy are attached. This specified number generally includes one or more Energy that corresponds to the Pokémon type, and / or a number of Colorless Energy. Scramble Energy Cards provide one Colorless Energy or three of any Energy.

The text on the cards reads:
‘Scramble Energy can be attached only to an Evolved Pokémon (excluding Pokémon-ex). Scramble Energy provides Energy. While in play, if you have more Prize cards left than your opponent, Scramble Energy provides every type of Energy but provides only 3 in any combination at a time. If the Pokémon Scramble Energy is attached to isn’t an Evolved Pokémon (or evolves into Pokémon-ex), discard Scramble Energy.’
