Will Surging Sparks include Ace Spec Cards?
Ace Spec Cards returned to the Trading card game in March 2024 with the release of the Temporal Forces set on 22nd March 2024.
Pokémon Ace Spec cards are Trainer Item cards that have unique, special effects that are beneficial to the player of those cards. These effects range from drawing extra cards, to recovering Pokémon from the discard pile, to granting immunity to certain effects. As with any new mechanic the return of these cards will introduce new strategies into the Trading Card Game (TCG).
Seven Ace Spec Cards were released in the Temporal Forces set, six were included with Twilight Masquerade, three in Shrouded Fable, three in Stellar Crown and eight in this set.
Will Surging Sparks include Stellar type Pokémon?
Stellar type Pokémon were first introduced in the Indigo Disk DLC expansion of the Scarlet and Violet games. They first entered the Trading Card Game in September 2024 with the release of the Stellar Crown expansion set.
Pokémon can only become Stellar type when they are terastalized. Stellar Tera Pokémon are crystalized and surrounded with a rainbow coloured band. A jewelled crown featuring the colours of the 18 regular Pokémon types sits on their head.
These Pokémon introduce a new dynamic to the game as they have new powerful attacks that require a mix of Basic Energy cards. Stellar Tera cards feature a multi-coloured border.
Four Stellar Tera cards were released in the Stellar Crown set and eight more will be released in this set.
