The first Generation IX video games, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, released 18th November 2022. The game is the first ever Pokémon Open World game and is set in the Paldea region which is based on Spain.

On the morning of launch, Pokémon International released a news article entitled ‘Prepare Yourself for Tera Raid Battle Events and a Special Pokémon Distribution!’ The article contains information about a special Pikachu and Tera Raid Battles featuring Eevee and Charizard.

It would seem that players who purchase Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet before 28th February 2023 will have the opportunity to receive a gift of a Pikachu that can fly. In addition to knowing the move ‘Fly’, this special Pikachu has Flying as its Tera Type. To receive the gift go to the Mystery Gift feature in the game and select ‘Get Via Internet’.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet – Eevee

Popular Pokémon Eevee is set to appear more often in Tera Raid Battles for three days in Novmeber. From 4pm PST on Thursday November 24th to 3.59pm PST on Sunday 27th November Tera Raid Battles will include an increased number of Eevees of different Tera Types. If you are looking for a particular Tera Type play as many Tera Raid Battles as possible to give yourself the best chance of finding the one you want. Why not try to Collect ’em All!

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet – Charizard

 

Fan favourite Pokémon Charizard is not normally found in the Paldea region. However, for six days in December Charizard will feature in specific Tera Raid Battles. These unique Charizard will have Dragon as their Tera Type meaning they will be a challenge to defeat. To have the best chance at winning players will need to practice and level up over the next month.

Charizard will appear in Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles from 4pm PST on Thursday 1st December to 3.59pm PST on Sunday 4th December, and then from 4pm PST on Thursday 15th December to 3.59pm PST on Sunday 18th December.
