2023 World Championships
The 2023 World Championships is running from 11th to 13th August in Pacifico, Yokohama Japan. More than 1,000 competitors are competing in the Pokémon TCG, Pokémon Go, Scarlet and Violet and Pokémon Unite. All competitors will receive a copy of the Promo card SVP045 Paradise Resort stamped ‘World Championships 2023’. Live broadcasts from the Championships are available on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.
Path to the Peak
The World Championships will see the premiere of the new animation ‘Path to the Peak’. This animation series will tell the tale of Ava, a young Pokémon Trainer, who, with her partner Pokémon, Oddish, strives to become Champion of the Trading Card Game.
Pokémon Presents August – Detective Pikachu Returns
The game Pikachu Returns is set to release on 6th October 2023. Partnered with Tim, Pikachu sets out to solve incidents that happen in Rime City helped by humans and Pokémon.
Pokémon Horizons
This new animé series is set follows the adventures of Liko, who wears a mysterious pendant and Roy, who has a mysterious Pokéball.
Pokémon Go Fest 2023
Upcoming Pokémon Go events – On August 18th New York will host the next Pokémon Go Fest event
Starting August 18, the next Pokémon GO Fest event will be held in New York City, USA, while the two-day Global digital Pokémon GO Fest 2023 will take place on August 26 and 27. Starting in September, new Generation IX Pokémon will begin appearing in Pokémon Go.
Pokémon Unite
As part of its 2nd year anniversary celebrations Mewtwo is joining Pokémon Unite. Also, a new type of battle called Panic Parade is being introduced where the player and their team will need to protect Tinkaton from wild Pokémon.
Pokémon Presents February 2023 – Pokémon Masters EX
Nemona and Pawmot, the first sync pair from the Paldea region will be joining the game on 8th August 2023. Additionally, from August 16th, Victor and Spectrier will appear as a sync pair.
Pokémon Café Remix
Tatsugiri is appearing at the Café together with ‘summer fun’ Jigglypuff and a five-star chef ‘tropical’ Vaporeon.
Pokémon Classic Games Return
The Pokemon Trading Card Game is now available on Game Boy – Nintendo Switch online. And the popular Pokémon Stadium 2 has returned to Nintendo 64 and Nintendo Switch. ***
Pokémon Presents August 2023 – Pokémon Sleep
This sleep-based game, that released in July, was given a plug, and the Good Sleep Event was announced. On the night of the full moon, drowsy power will be increased, encouraging more Pokémon to gather round Snorlax.

Paldean Winds is a new Anime set in Paldea. Paldean Winds follows several academy students as they come into their own, growing and learning as they attend school.
Pokémon Presents August 2023 – Scarlet and Violet
Get Mew and Mewtwo events will be coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Mew can be obtained by using the password GETYOURMEW in the mystery gift menu and Mewtwo will be appearing in a special Tera Raid Battle event which will take place from September 1st to September 17th 2023. Additional Tera Raid Battles will take place throughout August to help prepare Mew for battle with Mewtwo.
Hidden Treasures of Area Zero
Part One – The Teal Mask is scheduled for release on 13th September. This new story takes place in the land of Kitakami and features two new Trainers – Carmine and Kieran. Kieran battles with Dipplin, a new Evolution of Applin. Part of the story will include the new heroic Pokémon known as the Loyal Three: Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. Join Photographer Perrin in her quest to photograph wild Pokémon.
Part Two – The Indigo Disk will release in Winter 2023. The player will take the role of an exchange student attending Blueberry Academy. A range of biomes that are home to many different Pokémon are waiting to be discovered. Additionally, challenge fellow students in the BB League, and face off against their Elite Four – Lacey, Crispin, Amarys and Drayton. Drayton partners with Archaludon, an evolution of Duraludon.
