What is the Pokémon Online Art Exhibition?
In July 2022, the Pokémon Company announced the first ever Pokémon Online Art Exhibition – ARTWORK ATTACK.
It launched on 10th August 2022 and this first-of-a-kind online illustration exhibition featured close-up images from the trading card game. It remained online until 23rd October 2022.
The Pokémon online art exhibition was available in 10 different languages and will be free to access. It included popular images from the launch of the Pokémon Trading Card Game to present day.
What can I see in the Pokémon Online Art Exhibition?
The art exhibits are grouped into three different categories:
Life – which looks at the lives of different Pokémon characters and shows them in a range of different habitats.
History – covers 26 years of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
Artist – this looks at illustrations from a number of different Pokémon artists.
In addition to the above, 50 different Pokémon artists have picked their favourite piece of artwork and recorded a commentary for visitors to listen to.
On August 23rd, September 7th and September 22nd one of three new cards, designed by Japanese artist Takumi Wada, will be revealed. It has not yet been revealed when or if these three cards will be released but it is likely that they will be in high demand.
