The Pokémon Journey Together expansion has been officially revealed with a release date of 28th March 2025. It is the ninth expansion set of the Generation IX Series and is designated SV09.
What do we know so far about Journey Together?
This set will see the return of Owner’s Pokémon introduced in the Gym Heroes set of 2000 and last seen in 2021 when the Sword and Shield Promo card SWSH133 Lance’s Charizard was released.
Journey Together will include cards released in the Japanese sets Battle Partners and ex Starter Deck Generations
The set description states:
“With deep trust and steady guidance, Trainers help bring out the best in their Pokémon. The bond they share empowers them to act as one in battle as they push their strength to the limit, including as Pokémon ex! Team up with N’s Zoroark ex, Iono’s Bellibolt ex, Lillie’s Clefairy ex, Hop’s Zacian ex, and more Trainer’s Pokémon, and discover the unstoppable power of friendship in the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together expansion!”
Journey Together will contain more than 180 cards including:
40+ Trainer’s Pokémon
4 Trainer’s Pokémon ex
16 Pokémon ex
11 Illustration Rare Cards
6 Special Illustration Rare cards
3 Gold Hyper Rare cards
Cards will be numbered – ??/159
Cards will be marked with the set icon

Pokémon Journey Together Pack Art
The artwork for the set Booster Packs has been revealed. There are 4 different designs featuring N’s Zoroark ex, Iono’s Bellibolt ex, Lillie’s Clefairy ex, Hop’s Zacian ex.
Will Journey Together include Ace Spec Cards?
Pokémon Ace Spec Cards returned to the Trading card game in March 2024 and have featured in all sets since. It is likely that they will not feature in the Journey Together set.
Will Journey Together include Stellar type Pokémon?
Stellar type Pokémon were first seen in September 2024 with the release of the Stellar Crown expansion set and have featured in all sets since. Stellar type Pokémon are a special type of Tera type Pokémon. Both Tera types and Stellar type Poémon are unlikely to feature in this set.
