When are the Pokémon Go January 2024 Community Days?
The Pokémon Go January 2024 Community Days have been revealed and will take place on Saturday 6th January and Saturday 20th January, with the latter being a Classic Community Day.
What are Pokémon Go Community Days?
Pokémon Go Community Days are monthly or bi-monthly events where a specified Pokémon will appear more frequently than usual. Classic Community Days feature classic Generation I Pokémon.
These special event days may also feature unique research tasks, increased bonuses and the opportunity for the featured Pokémon to learn exclusive attacks.
For the duration of Pokémon Go Community days, there is always an increased number of players online, giving more opportunities for battle and also for meeting players in the local area.
Saturday 6th January 2024 – Pokémon Go Community Day
Details – This event takes place from 2pm to 5pm local time and will feature Grass type Pokémon Rowlet. Additionally, shiny Rowlet may also make an appearance. Rowlet evolves to Dartrix which then evolves to Decidueye. Players that manage to fully evolve Rowlet by 10pm will receive a Decidueye that knows the move Charged Attack Frenzy Plant.
Event Bonuses – the following bonuses have been announced:
3× Stardust for catching Pokémon
2× Candy for catching Pokémon
2× Chances for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours
Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise
One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day (from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. local time)
Trades will require 50% less Stardust (from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. local time)
Research – Field research will see increased encounters with featured Pokémon Rowlet, while a special Community Day special research task will be available for £1 / $1.
Raids – Dartrix will feature in 4 star raids from 5pm to 10pm local time.
Saturday 20th January 2024 – Pokémon Go Classic Community Day
Details – This event takes place from 2pm to 5pm local time and will feature Normal type Pokémon Porygon. Additionally, shiny Porygon may also make an appearance. Porygon evolves to Porygon2 which then evolves to Porygon-Z. Players that manage to fully evolve Porygon by 7pm will receive a Porygon-Z that knows the move Charged Attack Tri Attack.
Event Bonuses – the following bonuses have been announced:
3× XP for catching Pokémon
Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours
Take a few snapshots during Community Day Classic for a surprise
Research – Field research will see special rewards for catching featured Pokémon Porygon while completion of a timed research task by 7pm will award three Upgrades and three Sinnoh Stones.
