Pikachu V-Union Special Collection Box

What is the Pikachu V-Union Special Collection Box?

Pikachu V-Union Box

The Pikachu V-Union Special Collection Box is a unique product released as part of the Celebrations 25th Anniversary set.

The box was scheduled for release on the set launch date, 8th October 2021, but was delayed and eventually released in December 2021.

V-Union is a new mechanic which sees four regular sized Pokémon cards combining together to form a Jumbo-sized V-Union card.

V-Union cards have high HP (Hit Points) and special powers that can inflict high damage to your opponent. However, they can only be used once during a game.

The dimensions of the box have not been released but looking at the box image and the products inside we can estimate 45 cm x 25 cm x 2.5 cm (18 in x 10 in x 1 in). The box has been sold on presale for around £30 ($45).

Is the Box Good Value for Money?

The Pikachu V-Union Special Collection Box has been sold on presale for around £30 ($35).

Celebrations booster packs are currently being sold for around £5 ($6.25). The box contains 4 booster packs which would cost £20 ($25).

4 Celebrations Booster Packs

Darkness Ablaze and Battle Styles booster packs can be purchased for around £3.50 ($5). The box contains 2 packs which would cost £7 ($10).

The Jumbo Promo card is currently selling for around £7.50 ($10), while the set of 4 regular sized Pikachu V-Union cards is selling for around £12.50 ($17). However, because release of the box has been delayed in many countries, these prices will definitely fall as more product becomes available.

If you were to purchase the booster packs individually it would work out to roughly the same price as the box. Add in the value of the Promo cards and it is clear that this set appears to represent good value for money.
