Paras Pokédex Information
Paras is a Bug / Grass type Pokémon that first appeared in the games Pokémon Red and Blue which released in Japan on 12th September 1999. It evolves to Parasect.
Paras is a six-legged Pokémon that is believed to be based on a cicada nymph but also bears resemblance to a crab and has a large mushroom on its back. It has an orange head, body and legs and two spherical white eyes with large black pupils. It has a number of spots on its forehead and a oval nose-type projection with two sets of three white fangs underneath. Its front pair of legs are much thicker and resemble claws. On its back are two pink mushrooms that are covered with orange spots. Burrows under the ground to gnaw on tree roots. The mushrooms on its back absorb most of the nutrition.
