What are the Paldean Fates Tins?

The Paldean Fates tins are a set of three Pokémon collection tins that are scheduled to release on 9th February 2024. The three tins feature Shiny Great Tusk, Shiny Iron Treads and Shiny Charizard. The artwork for top half of each tin features the set’s diamond grid background with various motifs inside. The bottom half is black with wavy blue/grey lines and an image of the featured character. The Pokémon TCG logo is depicted in the top middle of the tin.

The Paldean Partner tins are expected to retail for £29.99 in the UK and $29.99 in the US.

Each tin will contain a Promo card –  SVP072 Great Tusk ex, SVP073 Iron Treads ex or SVP074 Charizard ex.

A code card for the online game

5  Paldean Fates booster packs (in US) 4 Booster Packss (Europe)

Are the Paldean Fates Tins good value for money?

In the US, each tin contains 5 Paldean Fates Booster packs, a Promo Card and a code card for the online game. In Europe, each tin contains 4 Paldean Fates Booster Packs, a Promo Card and a code card.

Individual booster packs are not available for special sets and so are likely to be worth around $4.50 in the US and £4.50 on UK selling sites. The Promo Cards feature shiny versions of ex Pokémon which should be popular and may sell on auction sites for up to £15 in the UK and $17 in the US.

Five Booster packs would therefore cost $23 in the US while the Promo card could cost up to $17. Four Booster packs would cost £18 in the UK with the Promo card having a value of £15.

Whether or not the tins represent good value for money therefore depends on the value of the Promo cards included in the tin, which in turn depends on whether or not they are in high demand.
