What is the Paldea Evolved Pull Rate?

The pull rate of a set is one of the most important metrics for any fan of the game. The pull rate is the ratio of packs that have rare art cards to those that don’t. Sets that have a good pull rate tend to be more popular than those with a low pull rate.

Although a huge number of packs should be opened to get a truly definitive answer to this question, most people only buy two or three booster boxes at most and we wanted to emulate the experience of the average Pokémon fan by determining the Paldea Evolved Pull Rate of three random booster boxes.

The Paldea Evolved Set

Paldea Evolved Pull Rate Booster Boxes

The Paldea Evolved Set is the second expansion set of the Scarlet and Violet Series.  It was released on 9th June  2023 with a presale price of around £120 ($120). We ordered our boxes from two different suppliers to ensure they were completely random boxes.

New booster boxes are sealed a with clear film covering which has the Pokémon logo imprinted in white.

Each booster box contains 36 sealed booster packs. The booster packs for this set have five different artworks – Meowscarada, Skeledirge, Quaquaval, Chien-Pao and Ting-Lu.

How good is the Paldea Evolved pull rate?

The Scarlet and Violet Base Series introduced a revamping of rarity categories with each type of rare card having its own unique symbol. Non-holo rare cards were discontinued meaning all rare cards were holographic. For the purpose of our pull rate test we deemed a pull to be an art card – Double Rare, Ultra Rare, Illustration Rare, Special Illustration Rare or Hyper Rare.

The Paldea Evolved Set contains 279 cards and includes 17 Double Rare Cards, 36 Illustration Rare Cards, 15 Special Illustration Rare Cards, 26 Ultra Rare Cards and 9 Hyper Rare Gold Cards.

In addition to logging the overall Paldea Evolved pull rate we also logged the pull rate for each pack art design – Meowscarada, Skeledirge, Quaquaval, Chien-Pao and Ting-Lu.

It should be remembered that the Paldea Evolved pull rate results posted here were taken from a sample of three booster boxes. If the sample were larger with more booster boxes being analysed, the result could be different.

  1. Why Do you bother putting those pull rates up. They are not even close to accurate. You need to open 2000 packs or more to have a accurate pull rate.. 100 packs you dont even pull a single Iono with that low numbers.. It took me 1700 Packs to complete the set I pulled Iono alt art 3 times out of 1700 packs.. Dont waste our time with your pull rates if your not gonna do them with 1000 or more packs.

  2. Thank you for taking the time to post your opinion. The top paragraph on all our Pull Rate pages explains that our purpose is not to get a definitive rate for every card but to emulate the random experience of the average Pokémon fan who might buy at most 3 Booster Packs.
