The released image of the box shows a rectangular format. The box dimensions have not been released but are likely to be the same as previously released ex boxes in the Scarlet and Violet series – around 25cm by 20cm (10in by 8 in).

The artwork for the box features a cut out window surrounded by typical features associated with a headstone including swirls, columns, candles and angel wings. Houndstone is featured in the bottom right corner.

The back of the box states:
“The Ghost Dog Pokemon Comes Out to Play!
Houndstone may look frightening, but if you make friends with it, you’ll have a loyal buddy forever! With this set, you get a foil promo card featuring Houndstone as a powerful Pokémon ex, along with a foil card featuring Greavard so you can add both Ghost Dog Pokemon to your deck or collection. And you’ll find even more Pokémon partners inside the included Pokémon TCG booster packs!”

The recommended retail price for the box is £21.99 in the UK and $21.99 in the US.

What are the contents of the Houndstone ex Box?

The contents of the box have been revealed:

1 Houndstone ex card SVP162
1 oversize Houndstone ex SVP162
1 holo Greavard
4 Pokémon TCG booster packs
A code card for Pokémon TCG Live

Is the Houndstone ex Box good value for money?

The box contains one jumbo and one regular sized Houndstone ex card, one Greavard holo card and 4 Booster packs.

Individual booster packs generally retail for around £4 in the UK and $4 in the US. The Houndstone ex card is a Black Star Promo card and would likely cost around £4 / $4, while the jumbo version could also fetch around £4 / $4. The holo card is a reprint but could be worth around £2 / $2.

The Four Booster packs would therefore cost £16 ($16) adding the expected value of the four cards takes the total to around £26.00 or $26.00 which is higher than the recommended retail price in the UK and the US. The box is therefore good value for money.
