Ho-Oh Pokédex Information
Ho-Oh is a Fire / Flying type Pokémon that first appeared in the games Pokémon Gold and Silver which first released in Japan in November 1999. Together with Lugia it forms the Legendary Tower Duo.
Ho-Oh is a very large Legendary bird that is based on the Chinese Phoenix with a tail that resembles a peacock’s. It has a red body with a white belly. Its large wings are mainly red with white and green tips. Its yellow and orange tail feathers fan out from its body. Ho-Oh’s feathers glow in seven colors depending on the angle at which they are struck by light. These feathers are said to bring happiness to the bearers. This Pokémon is said to live at the foot of a rainbow.
