This article takes a look at the cards most likely to be the Evolving Skies Chase Cards.
What are Chase Cards?
Chase cards are rare cards often with a 1/100 or less chance of being inside a booster pack. They are often one of the ultra rare or secret rare cards from an expansion set. If there is a full art Charizard in a set it is highly likely to be a Chase card but in sets without a Charizard card it is more a case of the cards that hold the most appeal due to their artwork, their rarity or their value.
The Evolving Skies expansion set is due to release on 27th August 2021. The set contains a total of 237 cards, 34 of which are secret rare cards. Evolving Skies also has 38 ultra rares, many of which are alternate art versions. In total there are 87 full art cards in the set which means it has great appeal for collectors.
However, with a set list of 237 cards and 87 full art cards the pull rate for these cards will be low. It is predicted that the pull rate for the top Evolving Skies chase cards is likely to be around 1/10,000.
Evolving Skies is based on the Japanese sets Skyscraping Perfection and Blue Sky Stream which were released on 9th July 2021. This means that it is possible to see which cards are the rarest and most sought after in Japan.

Our fifth Chase Card prediction is the Ultra Rare full art trainer card Zinnia’s Resolve. Full art trainer cards are always popular and the artwork for this card shows Zinnia holding firm against a swirl of cloud that seeks to engulf her. Currently on sale for around £150 on Ebay.
The artwork for all the ultra rare, particularly the alternate art versions, is stunning. It will be interesting to see if our top 5 predictions are correct or whether other cards from the set take their place.
