Coalossal Pokédex Information

Coalossal is a Rock / Fire type Pokémon that first appeared in the games Pokémon Sword and Shield which were released Worldwide in November 2019. It evolves from Carkol and is the final evolution of Rolycoly.

Coalossal is a large, bulky two-legged Pokémon that appears to be based on lumps of coal and a golem. In regular form each part of its body and limbs are comprised of individual lumps of coal. Each leg has three toes while each arm has three fingers. Its head is small in comparison to its body, comprised of a single lump of coal with two eyes and a wide mouth. Its mouth is full of ignited coal while on its back is a large triangular mound of ignited coal that extends above its head. On its shoulders are tall projections that resembles chimney stacks. To intimidate its opponents, Coalossal will vigorously shake its body, scattering coal from its smoldering back.

It can evolve to Gigantamax form with the Dynamax band. In this form it is much bigger and heavier. Its body takes up much of its form and this resembles a large furnace. Its limbs are much shorter and its head sits on its body rather lake an air vent. The top of the furnace towers above its head and is surrounded by floating red clouds. There are now two long spikes protruding from each shoulder. Its body is a colossal stove. With Gigantamax energy stoking the fire, this Pokémon’s flame burns hotter than 3,600 degrees Fahrenheit.
