Butterfree Pokédex Information
Butterfree is a Bug / Flying type Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Red and Blue which released internationally on 28th September 1998. It evolves from Metapod and is the final evolution of Caterpie.
Butterfree is a butterfly with a purple segmented head and body and four blue legs. It has two big red eyes and two long antennae. Its two wings are white with black edges and purple markings. Butterfree can evolve to Gigantamax form with the Dynamax band.
In Gigantamax form it is much larger and heavier. Its wings are green with a white pattern. Crystallized Gigantamax energy makes up this Pokémon’s blindingly bright and highly toxic scales.
