Bede is is a young Pokémon trainer that starts out in the games as the player’s rival but then becomes leader of the Ballonlea Gym, succeeding Opal. As a Pokémon Trainer he specialises in Psychic type Pokémon, but as a Gym Leader he specialises in Fairy type Pokémon. He has fair curly hair and violet eyes. He is depicted wearing a long purple coat, white stockings or socks with an oval pattern on the back, and purple shoes that have a poké ball on the back.
