What is Aqua Energy?
Aqua Energy is a Special Energy that was used in the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). It has only been released once – in the Team Aqua vs Team Magma set of 2004.

The Aqua Energy card provides Water and Darkness Energy but can only be attached to a Pokémon with Aqua in its name. The card design features a Water Energy symbol over a Darkness Symbol.
In the Pokémon TCG, a player can only use an Attack Move if the specified number of Energy are attached. This specified number generally includes one or more Energy that corresponds to the Pokémon type, and / or a number of Colorless Energy. Aqua Energy Cards provide two Water or Darkness Energy or one of any Energy when attached to a Pokémon with Aqua in its name.

The text on the card reads: ‘Aqua Energy can be attached only to a Pokémon with Team Aqua in its name. Aqua Energy provides

Energy but provides 2 Energy at a time. (Doesn’t count as a basic Energy card when not in play and has no effect other than providing Energy.) At the end of your turn, discard Aqua Energy..’
